When you hear JERUB’s music, it‘s easy to imagine him on a global stage. Songs like Gonna Be Okay or There Till the End have this captivating anthem quality of pop music, this memorable stature.

However, and that’s a subject of taste, I’d argue that JERUB even sounds better when he elevates his monumental voice into soul and creates, together with the pop sound, a stunning composite reminiscent of acts like Jacob Banks. Carry the Load is such a thumping hymn.

Last year, the Nigerian-born, Nottingham-based singer released the EP Carry The Load. Morgan Hermiston wrote for Square One Magazine: „Insightful indications of maintaining positive mindsets are frequent throughout Carry The Load. In each song, JERUB conceptualises different feelings and situations that all of us will experience at some point.“

JERUB’s emotionality certainly translates from record to the stage as well if we believe Leftlion’s Gemma Cockrell, who saw him perform at 2024’s Hockley Hustle:

„JERUB left the crowd on a high note, his passion and sincerity shining through every lyric. His performance felt deeply personal yet universally relatable, resonating with the audience on an emotional level. With his dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals, JERUB’s set was a highlight of the festival, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.“

Both of these raving reviews indicate that something great can be experienced at Hello Tomorrow, the two-day event at Papiersaal Zurich featuring four promising rising stars. Get your ticket here.
